Risk Assessment Courses

All of the following courses can be delivered with an in-house certificate (our own or joint certificated with your company) included in the price, or alternatively with a Nationally Accredited certificate from an Awarding Body for the additional cost of their exam and certification fee. Level 1 Risk Assessment Awareness

This half day qualification acts as an introduction to the basics of Risk Assessment, aimed at raising awareness of why risk assessments are required, how they are conducted and the factors affecting health and safety.

Level 2 Principles of Risk Assessment

This one day qualification is suitable for all employees and is designed to help improve the workplace culture for occupational health and safety. Its main purpose is to enable learners to understand the basic principles of risk assessment.

  • Main causes of accidents and ill health, and their implications for people in the workplace
  • Legal requirements for risk assessment
  • Principles of risk assessment including:
  • Hazards, risks and control measures
  • The five steps of risk assessment
  • The hierarchy of control

Level 3 Risk Assessment Principles & Practice

This one day qualification is designed to help employers and the self employed meet their legal duty to assess health and safety risks. Anyone carrying out a risk assessment needs to have the necessary knowledge and skills. This qualification ensures that supervisors and managers have the necessary depth of understanding to enable them to carry out risk assessments.
